Air Cargo News Awards 2020 - Save the date!

The Air Cargo News team is happy to announce the 36th edition of the Air Cargo News Awards will return on Friday 16 October 2020 at the Runnymede on Thames hotel close to Heathrow Airport.

The move comes after the unprecedented restrictions of Coronavirus on travel and large gatherings, and the extreme pressure that businesses in the aviation industry are being placed under as a result of the outbreak.

Air Cargo News publisher Mark Pilling said: “We have not taken the decision to postpone the Air Cargo News Awards lightly. However, the air cargo industry – and the wider world – is facing an unprecedented challenge that it needs to face head on. We have re-organised the event for a time later in the year when the industry can hopefully begin to once again look forward.

The Awards welcome leading industry figures to honour and celebrate those companies that have invested in providing great customer service, operational excellence and innovative technologies.

Winning an award, recognised globally as the airfreight 'oscars', is the ultimate accolade in the air cargo sector. The Awards recognise cargo airline excellence and include regional awards for Europe, Americas, Asia, Africa and the Middle East, while there is also the prestigious Cargo Airline of the Year award.

After much deliberation, our panel of industry expert judges have selected finalists in the following entered award categories:

  • Best Freighter Operator
  • Cargo Hub of the Year
  • Charter Broker of the Year
  • GSSA of the Year
  • Ground Handler of the Year

After attracting a record number of entries, the Innovation Award has been split into two different prizes:

  • Innovation Award
  • Innovation Award - ULD

There is no entry form for the Sustainability Award. The winner is chosen by the Air Cargo News editorial team and announced on the night of the awards.
