FAQs - Everything you need to know about entering
When is the entry deadline
Entries close on 17 June 2024 at 17:00 GMT.
It is the entrant's responsibility to ensure that all entries are completed and fully uploaded to the site by this date.
Our offices close at 17:00 GMT, therefore no one will be available to assist you should you be uploading your entry after this time on the deadline day.
How do I enter?
You can enter the Air Cargo News Awards HERE. Entrants are required to explain in no more than 1000 words why they deserve the award (appendices are excluded from this count). Supporting evidence that is clearly referenced in the entry must also be provided.
How do I submit my entry
All work must be entered using our online entry system.
1. Select the category you wish to enter (You can select additional categories from the drop down menu in the basket and then clicking the green + button)
2. You will then be redirected to a registration page for new users or login page for returning users
3. You will need to supply the following information for each category you enter:
- Company name
- Company logo 50 word summary of the entry
- 1,000 word PDF entry
- Supporting material (optional)
- 1 high resolution image that supports your entry - this will be used in the awards presentation if shortlisted
**Some categories may require specific additional information included, please ensure that you have thoroughly read the category criteria**
4. Once all mandatory fields have been answered you can Submit your entry.
5. A Confirmation email will be automatically emailed to the address assigned to the login credentials as soon as you complete your order. If this is not received check your junk mail folder and contact events@aircargonews.net
How much does it cost to enter?
Entries for the Air Cargo News Awards are free of charge.
What categories are there?
Categories available to enter are:
- Air Cargo Environment Award
- Air Cargo Pharma Award
- Cargo Airline of the Year
- Cargo Hub of the Year
- GSSA of the Year
- Ground Handler of the Year
- Innovation Award - Digital
- Innovation Award - Product
- Young Airfreight Professional of the Year

Can I enter more than one category?
Yes (one entry per category).
Who can enter
Any company of any size that conducts business in the international air cargo sector is eligible to enter the awards for free, in as many categories as they like (one entry per category). Entries which have been entered in a previous Air Cargo News Awards competition and have not been significantly updated are not eligible for this year’s competition.
Entries that do not comply with the category criteria will be marked down or rejected. Please check the category criteria to ensure you are eligible to enter. Judges reserve the right to move any entries that they feel would better fit another category at the awards.
I am sponsoring the awards, can I enter?
Yes - sponsors are very welcome to enter the awards, but are not able to enter the category they are sponsoring.
Who judges the awards
Entries will be judged by a team of senior independent figures within the air cargo industry.
Our entry has confidential information, how will this be handled?
By entering the awards all entrants agree to publicity in respect to their entry both before and after the awards presentation. Any confidential data within the entry must be clearly highlighted as such and will not be published. All judges sign confidentiality agreements meaning they cannot discuss information within the entries outside of the judging day. Please note you cannot list all information in an entry as confidential.
When will I find out if my entry has been shortlisted?
The shortlist will be announced in July. You will be contacted via email to let you know whether or not your entry was successful. The winner will be revealed at our awards ceremony, taking place at the Royal Lancaster Hotel on Wednesday October 23, 2024., 12:00-16:00.
If I win, or am shortlisted, can I promote this?
Of course! Award winners may state in advertising/promotional activity that they are a winner. This must include the category and the year in which the award was won.
What are the copyright conditions
All entrants must agree to publicity in respect to their entry both before and after the Awards presentation.
Any confidential data in the entry must be clearly highlighted as such and will not be published.
The copyright of all materials assembled will remain the property of the organiser. These may be used for the purpose of publicising the Awards.

How do I book a table for the awards?
You can book an individual seat or book tables of 10 on our website here or by using the Attend tab in the menu above.
When and where are the awards being held?
The awards will be held on Wednesday 23 October 2024, 12:00-16:00, at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, Lancaster Terrace, London W2 2TY. You can book your tickets here.
When will I find out if my company has won?
The announcement of the winners will be made at the Air Cargo News Awards ceremony taking place on Wednesday 23 October 2024, 12:00-16:00, at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London. You can book tables of 10 seats or individual tickets to attend the ceremony.
When will I receive my e-ticket?
As long as payment for your table(s) has been received in cleared funds, your e-ticket will be emailed to the lead booker in September, in order for you to send onto your confirmed guests.
How much is it to attend?
Individual tickets are charged at £285 + VAT each
Standard tables of 10 are charged at £2,550 + VAT each
Early bird tables of 10 purchased by 17:00 GMT, Friday July 12, 2024 will be charged at £2,350 + VAT
Early bird individual tickets are purchased by 17:00 GMT, Friday July 12, 2024 will be charged at £245 + VAT
Ticket price includes a welcome drink on arrival plus a 2-course dinner, half a bottle of wine per person, awards presentation and entry to the post-awards networking.
Please note that hotel accommodation and drinks, other than those stated, are not included in the ticket price.
How can I pay for my ticket?
Seats must be booked online via the bookings page
Once you have selected your product you can opt to pay for this via credit card or via invoice.
Invoices and credit card receipts will be attached to your booking confirmation email and sent at the time of purchase.
All tickets must be paid ahead of the award ceremony and in accordance with the payment terms stated on the invoice.
