Categories open for entries

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

When you enter you will be required to register, on doing so, you will receive an email, please click the link to confirm. You will then be able to complete your entry. Return at any point using your login credentials to manage your account and modify your entry until to closing date.

Who can enter?

Any company of any size that conducts business in the international air cargo sector is eligible to enter the awards for free, in as many categories as they like (one entry per category). Entries which have been entered in a previous Air Cargo News Awards competition and have not been significantly updated are not eligible for this year's competition.

Entries that do not comply with the category criteria will be marked down or rejected. Please check the category criteria to ensure you are eligible to enter. Judges reserve the right to move any entries that they feel would better fit another category at the awards.

What do I need to do to enter?

Entrants are required to explain in no more than 1000 words, divided into three criteria, why they deserve the award (appendices are excluded from this count). Supporting evidence that is clearly referenced in the entry must also be provided.

Entrants must complete an entry form for each category entered, to be submitted to our website by the deadline of 5:00 pm on December 20 2018. You will receive an email confirmation once your entry has been submitted.

Judging

Entries will be judged by a team of senior independent figures within the transport industry. You will be informed if your entry has been shortlisted by 25th January 2019. The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence on their decision will be entered into.

The Awards

Award winners may state in advertising/promotional activity that they are a winner. This must include the category and the year in which the award was won.

Copyright

All entrants must agree to publicity in respect to their entry both before and after the Awards presentation. Any confidential data in the entry must be clearly highlighted as such and will not be published. The copyright of all materials assembled will remain the property of the organiser. These may be used for the purpose of publicising the Awards. 

By registering and completing an entry for the Air Cargo and Cargo Airline of the Year Awards you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Freighter Hub of the Year

Using facts/figures/testimonials, the judges will want to see evidence of one or more of:

  • How you are improving the air cargo supply chain based in and around your hub 
  • Investments you have made that improve the airline experience when it comes to loading/unloading cargo

Best Freighter Operator

This award is open to airlines that operate a freighter fleet. Using facts/figures/testimonials, the judges will want to see evidence of one or more of:

  • Operational efficiency
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Fleet investment or expanded route network

Charter Broker of the Year

 This award is open to charter brokers. Using facts/figures/testimonials, the judges will want to see evidence of one or more of:

  • Operational efficiency
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Examples of two projects in the past 12 months, their effectiveness and success

Innovation Award

This award is open to any businesses providing innovative products, services or operations that are helping to transform the air cargo industry. The judges will want to see evidence of:

  • Originality of services or features
  • Success of the product within the market and against performance indicators
  • Effective deployment and a collaborative approach with client, customer, logistics network

Ground Handler of the Year

This award is open to all ground handlers in the global air cargo industry. Using facts/figures/testimonials, the judges will want to see evidence of one or more of:

  • Operational efficiency
  • Customer satisfaction
  • What the business is doing to meet the challenges of the future
