Air Cargo Charter Project of the Year

Returning for 2025, this award is open to an air cargo company or companies that have handled a special project shipment in the last 12 months in order to meet the requirements of a customer.

Companies can enter either individually or as part of a team if they worked with partners to complete the project.

Using facts/figures/testimonials, the judges will want to see evidence of one or more of:

  • Outline and delivery of a complex or unique project
  • Evidence of customer satisfaction
  • Any challenges presented by the project and how these were overcome

Air Cargo Environment

This award recognises companies in the air cargo industry that have taken steps to lessen their impact on the environment and reduced their carbon footprint – or that of their partners - in the last 12 months.

Using facts/figures/testimonials, the judges will want to see evidence of one or more of:

  • What steps you have taken to reduce emissions in the supply chain
  • How customers have responded and engaged with the initiative
  • How these emission reductions are measured and verified

Air Cargo Pharma

This award is open to air cargo companies that have independently or in partnership developed an innovative service or product covering the transportation of pharmaceuticals in the last 12 months.

The award is open to airlines, forwarders, logistics firms, handlers, GSSAs, airports, brokers and other supply chain players. Judges will be looking for:

  • Original, sustainable solutions and service enhancements
  • Innovative/complex supply chain projects for the transportation of pharmaceuticals
  • Facts, figures and testimonials demonstrating how these investments have benefitted customers

Cargo Airline of the Year

This award recognises airlines that have developed best in class cargo services and have invested in fleet, services and technology to improve the customer experience over the last 12 months.

The category is open to both bellyhold and freighter carriers. Judges will be looking for evidence of one or more of:

  • Operational efficiency and/or customer satisfaction
  • Fleet investment or expanded route networks
  • Investment in market-leading technology and services
  • Facts, figures and testimonials demonstrating how these investments have benefited customers

Cargo Hub of the Year

This award recognises airports that have invested in services, facilities and communities to improve the cargo experience for airlines, shippers and freight forwarders in the last 12 months.

Judges will be looking for:

  • Innovative solutions and service enhancements implemented by the airport independently or in partnership
  • A demonstration of how airports are improving the air cargo supply chain based in and around the hubs
  • Facts, figures and testimonials demonstrating how these investments have benefited customers

GSSA of the Year

This award recognises GSSAs that have invested in market leading services in the last 12 months that help airlines fill the cargo hold of their aircraft while offering visibility, digital services and a personal service.

The judges will be looking for:

  • Operational efficiency
  • Customer satisfaction
  • New services and solutions
  • The implementation and success of new contracts
  • Facts, figures and testimonials demonstrating how these investments have benefitted customers


Ground Handler of the Year

This award is open to all ground handlers in the global air cargo industry that have independently or by working in partnership developed market leading services or technologically advanced facilities.

The judges will want to see evidence of one or more of:

  • Operational efficiency
  • Customer satisfaction
  • What the business is doing to meet the challenges of the future
  • Implementation of market leading technologies


Innovation Award – Digital

This award recognises air cargo companies that have independently or in partnership invested in or developed innovative digital solutions that enhance air cargo supply chains in the last 12 months, or will do so in the future. The award is open to airlines, forwarders, logistics firms, handlers, GSSAs, airports, brokers and other supply chain players.

Judges will be looking for:

  • Original solutions and service enhancements
  • Success of the digital product within the market and against performance indicators
  • Facts, figures and testimonials demonstrating how these investments have/will benefit customers or the industry

Innovation Award – Product

This award is open to any businesses that have independently or in partnership developed an innovative air cargo product that is helping to transform the air cargo industry in the last 12 months, or will do so in the future. The award is open to airlines, forwarders, logistics firms, handlers, GSSAs, airports, brokers and other supply chain players.

The judges will want to see evidence of:

  • Originality of services or features
  • Success of the product within the market and against performance indicators
  • Facts, figures and testimonials demonstrating how these products have/will benefit customers or the industry

Young Airfreight Professional of the Year

The judges will be looking for a person aged 35 or under (on 31/12/2025) that works specifically within the air cargo industry with a proven ability to achieve at a level beyond that normally expected from professionals of this age and experience, who display:

  • Passion and drive for working within the air cargo industry
  • Dedication to the development of their company’s business
  • Evidence of initiative and going the extra mile
  • Colleague/customer testimonials or facts and figures to demonstrate strong performance
  • Demonstrate future career ambitions and aspirations

For this category, an employee can self-nominate or be put forward by their company.
